All EYSO program concert events feature both the Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Emory Youth Chamber Orchestra. A comprehensive rehearsal schedule for 2024-2025 will be distributed to members prior to the first rehearsal and will be made available on the “Members Area” of the EYSO website. Weekly rehearsals are from 7:30-9:30pm on Wednesdays throughout the school year. Dress rehearsals are scheduled for the Tuesday evening before each of the three regular concert performances.

Rehearsals begin immediately after the audition period (entrance & string seating auditions). The EYSO concert and rehearsal schedule allows students to also participate in other local youth ensembles such as the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony and the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, and a significant number of EYSO students do so each season.
During an EYSO tour season, tour participation is expected, but every attempt will be made to help students resolve conflicts with school-related performances in particular. Part assignments and instrumentation may be adjusted to meet tour repertoire needs.
